Mothers day

March 15th, 2010

Long time since I posted a blog but life has been very busy.
Got back from a nice break in Tunisia to a lot of messages etc, thanks to my clients for being patient!

Had a great lunch at Rocco’s in town for mothers day, Harry was his usual well behaved self and was fascinated for ages with a balloon.

Finally, I will do more frequent blogs if my clients all agree to backup more often, (really important folks)

Off to church

February 16th, 2010

I’m off to St Stephens church today to try and sort their ailing computer
Been very busy recently which is good as Gill has been out of work for a few weeks. Luckily she has now found a job which should suit her very well.
Small tip for you all, which I noticed at a client yesterday (thanks Elizabeth)…if you press the CTRL button while you click on a link, then that link will open up in a new page. Try it, it is very useful.

Snow again!

January 30th, 2010

Woke up to loads of snow outside today, still off to see the Norwich game though (all wrapped up!)

Went to Henley to see my mother and my sister last weekend. We all exchanged late Christmas presents and had a great time as always.

It was the first time for my sister to meet Harry and as you can see he had a go on her piano.

He was very popular and got passed around a lot.
Had a couple of clients ask me if it’s ok to recommend me to others, yes please, most of my new customers are from recommendations so I am very happy with that.

Hi !

January 18th, 2010

Bit of a funny month January. I always think it’s a bit of an anti-climax after the fun of Christmas.
Went swimming yesterday with the family again and Harry still seems to love it, splashing about. We then had a very good carvery at the Red Lion in Drayton.

I am getting a few questions about Windows 7, and whether it’s worth upgrading. I always reckon you shouldn’t bother upgrading anything unless your current system doesn’t do what you want. Windows 7 is much better than Vista but not a vast improvement to XP. Also bear in mind the cost compared with buying a new pc with Windows 7 already installed. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Happy New Decade!

January 2nd, 2010

IMG_0255Can’t figure out that this is my 7th decade but i’m still in my 50’s (just!)

Here’s my latest picture of Harry in his Christmas outfit, doesn’t he look great. We also got some more marvellous news that my youngest son and his wife are expecting a baby! Lots of excitement as you can imagine.

My son is selling his pc if any of you are interested. It’s a Dell Inspiron 530S with a dual core processor, 17″ monitor with Dell keyboard and mouse. If you would like more details please email, I think he’s selling it cheap as he will sonon need the money!

Hope you all had a nice relaxing break and look forward to seeing you in 2010

White Christmas?

December 21st, 2009

Like everybody else we want a white christmas, particularly as it will be Harry’s first one.
Although the snow is great, it does make getting to clients a bit interesting, especially those out in the country.

One of my clients is wanting to sell his model cars. He has loads of them, most in boxes and vary in prices. They include several sets like those for Guinness etc etc. Please contact me if you want to know more.

I would like to wish everybody a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

If you would like anything particular in these blogs, please let me know.

Nearly Christmas!

December 10th, 2009

Thankfully my back is now better but seems to have spread down my leg.
Gill and I went to Cadbury World at the weekend and had a great time. Birmingham shopping was also part of the trip, but that was absolutely packed, and not very enjoyable.
Really busy at the moment with lots going on, very unusual as December is normally a quiet time of the year for me.
Some customers have asked me about Windows 7 operating system. It is certainly better than Vista and not so demanding on your PC. At the moment I wouldn’t bother upgrading from XP though.
Babysitting Harry this weekend which we are really looking forward to!

ouch !

December 1st, 2009

Sorry to all my clients who had their appointments delayed…I pulled the two muscles in my lower back, and couldn’t drive. Thanks for your patience.
As a consequence I am now a bit behind so if you ask for an appointment please bear with me.

I know several of you are concerned about AVG 9 and it’s update. Although it says it stops on December 09, you are still ok for a few days after that. If you find the update difficult please don’t hesitate to call or email me.

Good Weekend

November 16th, 2009

Should be a good weekend, as we have the Norwich game against Tranmere, followed by us having Harry overnight which will be great! While we were away in Middlesbrough he fell asleep on me which was wonderful (aren’t I soppy)!
Also off for a birthday lunch on Sunday for our daughter in law, Sarah

All in all should be good fun.

AVG

November 6th, 2009

I know several of my clients use the same anti-virus program as I do, namely AVG. In the coming weeks you are probably going to get a message telling you to upgrade to avg 9, which is the new free version.
When this message appears it is perfectly ok to upgrade but make sure you don’t click on the avg “Internet Security” as that’s the paid version. As always any questions just ring me.
Unusually I have recently been very busy, which is unusual for this time of the year. Going to a very old friends wedding dinner tomorrow which should be fun.
